The Leaders Workshop was for such a time as this. The musicians ushered us into a dynamic worship experience where each of us worshiped God in our own way. The guest saxophonist Brother Andre Cavor was one of the most gifted saxophonists I have ever heard.

And the guest speaker Pastor Michael Exum, Executive Director of The Potter’s House International Pastoral Alliance (PHIPA), blessed me beyond words. I thank God for his testimony on his calling over his life. As a woman minister I have had unpleasant experiences trying to do God will. Oftentimes, unpleasant experiences will make you second guess the call over your life. But God knows what you need when you need it. I know that God loves me and I will continue to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

The Leaders workshop was one of the most powerful workshops I’ve experienced in years, so I was well over due. Pastor Exum confirmed some things that I had been wrestling with for a while. And the way he explained the five-fold ministry, we know it was discerned from God. Pastor Exum walked us thru, around, over and under Ephesians 4:11-16. Thank God you have CD’s of this workshop because I am sure, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers will befit from this powerful teaching.

Pastor Willis, I know that God is smiling down on you saying well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things. I am so thankful to God for him planning our holy hookup you are appreciated for all you do in the building up of God’s Kingdom.

Much Love,
Evangelist Martha Jones

The Best Is Yet To Come

One of the greatest words I have every received was from a Pastor who once said, To have growth you must be willing to allow God to some things before He will add. Little did I know the impact of these words until I witness the power of God in my life and ministry. In other words God is always working things out for my good and he knows the thoughts and plans He has for me. God will take those who can face the tough times in life (divorce, abuse, financial, marriages, children, etc) and use you for His glory. Never complain about what is happening in your life, praise Him for using you to show you off in your circumstances. Opposition is an opportunity to take you to another level in God, it is the best season of your life, it is chance to show no matter what you face you trust in the provisions and power of God.

When God removes things, people, etc from your life, trust me when I tell you it for a greater plan and purpose. You do not have sit and wonder, speculate or even question why this is happening, all you have to do is begin to have praise and worship on your lips. For someone who is experiencing a season of transition please let me share with you the best is yet to come, matter of fact your breakthrough is right around the corner. You must decree, declare and shout unto your Lord with a voice of triumph your days ahead are the best. Confess you are healed, delivered, set-free in the Name of Jesus. In my next blog title, A Reason For The Season, I will share with you a blessing from God.

Kneeling In Order To Stand,
Pastor Ron D. There is a process called transformation that occurs when we allow God to process us for change in our life. One of the most difficult obstacles to overcome is totally surrendering to God, while many will have you to believe that are living a life of total surrender, it still amazes me how many talk about surrendering but cannot fully give themselves to a God of mercy and grace.

When we give ourselves to Him we become a candidate for transformation to take place in our life. There are things that we need to get rid of that has been holding us from moving forward, there are people who we have allowed to speak negativity, destructive and harmful words into our spirit. But the word of God speaks healing, deliverance and peace to our souls. Through Gods transformation process we learn to depend more upon Him than ourselves. He takes us to a place that we have never experience in our walk with Him and reveals a revelation of his good pleasure.

As we approach the Resurrection Celebration of our Lord and Savior, we must awaken to the fact we can transform our lives. When we execute the power of awesome God, we will overcome any circumstances, issues or problems through His divine love.

Kneeling In Order To Stand,

Pastor Ron D. I will share that if you are going to do significant things for God, you will have to cut ties with things, places and people. Bishop Jakes once said “sometimes you will need to change your circle of people”. This is a very profound and true statement. It’s not meant to demean anyone but there are times when people can only help you within the parameters of their ability. Success is not measured within a materialistic view, you can have all the degrees, money and fame but those "things" cannot buy you peace, happiness and joy.

The word of God teaches us to “seek the Kingdom of God first and His righteousness and everything will be added unto you”. This is a promise from God that when you put Him first in everything you do, he will add to you. This is a powerful guarantee to walk into your destiny and purpose. When is the last time you used your Kingdom Authority? I mean really walked into your situation, circumstance or issue and called the enemy out. Until you begin to understand the precepts of God and execute your authority over your life, you will always be where you are in life.

Once again, I challenge you to get up from where you are in life because you have so much to do and little time to do it. But remember you can do “all things in Christ” who will strengthen you. Claim your victory over your sickness, finances, family, job, etc. and begin to see the power of God work in your life!

Kneeling In Order To Stand,
Ron D. With great anticipation I immediately broke open the cover and inserted the CD and begin listening to each song, normally it takes 2-3 times before a song really grabs my attention. But when I came to track 9 and began to listen to the words of Pastor Sapp, an emotion came over me like never before. I began to replay in my mind how many times I have made wrong decisions in life. How people have criticized, passed judgment, condemned and even attacked other people. How people will try to build themselves by tearing others down, how they have spread vicious rumors to bring hurt, harm and damage to the emotions of others. I know there are times when we feel like failures, feel like giving up, throwing in the towel, getting out of the race, just plain quitting, but that’s when you need to repeat the words of Pastor Sapp:

"He saw the best in me, when everyone else around me, only saw the worst in me. He’s mine, and I’m His, it doesn’t matter what I did, He only sees me for who I am"

When I discover that no matter what I’ve done in my life, God sees something in me. God sees something in you that no one has yet to see, the best of you has not come out of you and God wants you to know he is ready to bring you out of the chains, shackles, and the restraints that are keeping you in bondage. The enemy doesn’t want us to share our stories because this is when you gain your breakthrough, your deliverance, being set free by the power of Jesus Christ. Realize we are more than conquerors, realize that we are not defeated but victorious, and claim your victory in Jesus name. Let the best come out of you and begin to walk in your destiny, and watch God move in your life like never before. God sees the best in us and he is calling us to come forward to bring glory to his name! I challenge you to make that move, you’ll be glad you did!

Kneeling In Order To Stand

A Change Of Attitude

I pray my blogs have been a blessing to many of the readers who have written to me about various topics. These topics are not mine but the spirit of God through me, writing has never been my forte , but through God I have learned to share what is on my heart that it may become a blessing to someone. Today God spoke to me in a way like never before. We are currently studying how to reach your full potential in God. This series is a very powerful and challenges teaching because I discovered that many people live the so-called “settle-life”. In other words they feel they have reached a plateau, feel this is all God has for them, and they begin to settle in everything . They settle with their finances, relationships, friendships, etc., and never discover the potential God has created in them for His purpose.

On yesterday, I talked with a good friend of mine who has been going through his season. I asked him this question, “please tell me what I did to you for you to treat me like you have? I have always been there for you and never one in my life treated you the way you have treated me, why?” I told him, “I am true to what I am and that’s according to the Word of God”. He replied, “It’s not you, I am just going through and I know it’s wrong.” I could hear the remble in his voice and the cry of hurt. I told him, “Man, I will always be there for you because we are friends and no matter what happens we cannot shut those who God has placed in our life, for they are in our life for a reason.”

My brothers and sisters, please hear me. God knows what He is doing and He provides what we need. We often shout out what He has placed in our life; we ignore, mistreat and even shutout the people who He sends to love on us during our seasons. If this is you, I pray you will allow those people that have been reaching out to you to restore the genuine love they have for you. Trust me when I tell you the enemy wants us to be shackled. This is his job and he is good at it, but the Psalmist says, “We are fearfully and wonderfully made”

Kneeling In Order To Stand,

Pastor Ron

Just Do It

If you’re like me, all this snow is becoming quite annoying to say the least. We have experienced masses of snow accumulations, which have made it difficult to maneuver through our daily routines. Many of you are unable to get out of your homes due to the hazardous road conditions, some of you, like me, experienced loss of power and frigid temperatures. Whatever you have encountered, it was something we never thought would occur at this time in our life. The word of God is very clear… there is a time for everything under heaven. From this perspective, I can comprehend this was our time for a massive snowstorm and while this storm caused discomfort, distress, and even irritation, we must continue to press forward.

During the storm, I reflected on many things but what intrigued me the most was the fact that life will sometimes be like this snowstorm we are enduring. The weatherman warned to constantly shovel as much as possible due to the snow accumulations. As much as I tried to keep up with the shoveling, it seemed to overtake me and I began to face an obstacle that I could not handle. Eventually, I surrendered and walked away because it was more than I could handle. Only to return the next day and discover there was “no way” I would be able to dig myself out of this. But God specializes in this area of our lives when we encounter so much accumulations (family, health, relationships, financial, etc.) that we conclude we will never be able to dig ourselves out. He will send us what we need to get out of circumstance or obstacles.

When I finally made up my mind, I realized the only way I was going to get out of all this snow was to begin digging my way through. This is when I discovered the power of God. You see, I was looking for help to get me out of all of this snow accumulation, but God had a better plan… he was showing me that when I trust Him and rely on His provisions, he will make a way out of no way. What seemed to be a barrier God made it my breakthrough! For you that have read this today, this is my word to you, “you can dig yourself out of anything with God.”

Kneeling In Order To Stand,
Pastor Ron

Make That Move

Happy New Year! Allow me to apologize for not getting my blog out on time. This year I am making the commitment to do better. Well, I don’t know how you feel but I am living a life of true blessings and favor. I am preparing myself for the release of God’s unlimited blessings upon VCC, my family, friends and me! This year I plan on giving more to the Kingdom of God, listening for His voice about blessing others and submerging myself deeply into the Word of God. I had the awesome experience while visiting my daughter (Alexandria) in California. She invited me to visit her church and all I could say was “thank you Lord”. Pastor Carl (Bishop select) truly allowed the anointing to flow in service. After worship, I had the chance to speak with him about ministry and how you have to move forward regardless of who is not wanting to go. I returned home with a zeal for ministry and Kingdom work. For you that are reading this message, I want you to know God is ready to use you for His Glory. Don’t worry about what issues, problems or situations you are experiencing, I’m here to tell you that God wants to use Y-O-U! This year make the commitment to God and watch how He will use you for the Kingdom. You have a purpose and destiny, a place with your name and anointing approved by Heaven. Tell the devil he is defeated and you are walking in the blessings of an awesome God, command your release from the attacks and defeats of the enemy. Last year you gave in but in the year of 2010, you will be the head and not the tail, you will be the lender and not the borrower, you’re blessed in the city, you’re blessed in the field, you are BLESSED! This is the year of promotion! Get ready for your next level in God. I claim it in the Name of Jesus!

Pastor Ron

How Great is Our God!

As we come to the end of another year, I am very thankful for what God has done for me in the year of 2009. While it was a year of chaos, conflicts, and conspiracy, I look back over each ordeal and discover how God used my enemies, haters, and backstabbers to bring me to a place of peace and providence through many obstacles. I have discovered who is truly Kingdom-focused and not trying to implement their own agendas. God continuously reminds me of the time when I petitioned Him for more of His anointing over my life. Little did I realize what I was truly asking God for in my personal, professional and ministerial life... well did God ever give it to me??? God demonstrated His power and authority over my life in a manner in which man could never receive the Glory.

Now, the real question is how did it feel? Words can never describe how painful the hurt was during my season... how each day I wanted the pain to disappear. There were people who purposely tried to discredit me and people that would smile in my face and turn and plot to dismember my spirit. I stand to share with my circle today, no matter what people say, do or even think, trust God no matter what it seems like. I am a recipient of the favor of God over my life and according to His word, I shall be the head and not the tail, I will be the lender and not the borrower!

To my family, friends, members of VCC, and co-laborers of the Gospel, my prayer for each one of you is to walk into the blessings that God is ready to pour on you. Don’t allow the enemy to continue to use you as puppet on a string, release yourself from the bondage that has bound you over the years. People may call you crazy but don’t forget you serve a MIGHTY and POWERFUL GOD!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Pastor Ron

I Give Myself Away

One of the hardest obstacles I have faced in life is getting out of God’s way in my life. As I reflect over my journey, I have discovered that God has always worked things out for my good, but my microwave faith of wanting things immediately and not having patience have caused me to experience many setbacks and even hurt and pain. Today, trust me when I tell you my desire is to allow God to work it out the way He chooses. I may not understand why or what is happening but I do not worry about things anymore. For when I totally surrender all to Him, I have discovered that He does more than I could have expected, desired or wanted. Many of you will read this and agree with me that we all experience these types of situations. To be very honest, as believers it is very difficult to sometimes comprehend how God is working on our behalf when we are facing eviction, financial hardships, health issues, loss of a job, and family problems. But I stand on the Word of God and tell you this, no matter how much it seems that you are not going to make it through, tell God you are letting it go and giving it to Him and watch Him work it out!

Kneeling In Order To Stand,

Pastor Ron

Being Grateful

Often times we take the blessings of God for granted. I had the opportunity of meeting two families from third world countries who where recently relocated to our area to get a new start in life. As I entered into their home, I could see the hope in their eyes and hear the gratefulness in their voices as they spoke through the translator. The excitement of knowing I was there to help them in any way and make their transition a bit smoother was an awesome testimony. I was so overwhelmed with their needs I could not walk away nor leave them just hanging. That same afternoon I gathered the troops (Sister Lisa, Sister LaMonica, Sister Tracy and Pastor Plaza) and we returned to their home to assess all their needs and left for the store. We returned and again I experienced what I call the true blessings from God… I was able to witness their joy and happiness as I saw VCC women put the shoes on their feet, put up the clothes to their bodies and hand them items that were desperately needed. Immediately the Word of God pierced my heart because it tells us to give and it will be given unto to you! The language barrier could have hindered us from being a blessing to these families, but we overcame that obstacle and we left with the fullness of God in each of us. We were tired and worn out from a day of Kingdom work but what a sense of fulfillment of doing the work of the Lord. I would not trade that day for anything in the world! It was an awesome sight to see the different colors blend. Just a couple of months ago, we were looking at the same trees and leaves and they were all pretty and green. However, there was a shift in the weather, which caused the change in colors to occur. Many times, we experience “temperature changes” in our lives; we encounter the same changes that the leaves encounter. Some of you, like me, will go through a season of trials and tribulations; some will encounter a season pain and suffering; some will experience a season of ups-and-downs; and others a season of peace, joy, and happiness. The amazing thing about seasons is the fact that the season inevitable changes. The season is here but only for a short period of time.

I have discovered through all my seasons -- whatever they may be – that I will not allow any season to derail my connection to God. To be quite honest, I have determined those seasons are necessary in order for me to move forward in the things of God. All changes are relevant in our lives because they display our character. We find out what we are really made of and how to make the necessary adjustments to stay on course. To those that are currently in a season of change, remember God has your back! No matter how it looks, I am telling you that God will change you for the better. Even if you don’t feel loved, He loves you… even with all the stuff and baggage you carry he wants you to know that your change is coming.

Kneeling In Order To Stand,

Pastor Ron

Putting Your Priorities in Place

Each day I begin my day writing things I need to accomplish… a “To-Do” list if you will. I prioritize every task in order to ensure that I stay on track. While this may seem a bit over the top for some, for me it’s how I stay focused and on track. The first priority on my list is praying, praising, and reading God's word. It seems the older I get the faster time goes by. Sometimes it feels like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. Everyone has so much going on and it seems that we can never get ahead, if its not one thing it’s another, but we must remember that sometimes we need to set priorities in our life. We need parameters; we need to re-focus our thoughts, direction and objectives. Our first priority is to have a personal relationship with God; this is the key to having it all. God wants to have a personal relationship with you, he wants to spend time with you, he wants to go places with you, and he wants quality time with you. I encourage you to spend time with God each day by reading His Word, praying, worshipping and meditating. Jesus says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”, when you put God first in your life he has promised that other things you desire, want or need will be added to your life. What a wonderful way to live your life, making God your priority in everything you do!

Kneeling In Order To Stand,
Pastor Ron

Celebration Time!

Can you say O-V-E-R-F-L-O-W? This is how I am feeling right about now, within a few days of celebrating our 2nd Year Church Anniversary, there is a strong anointing that is fresh, powerful and emerging in VCC. As I look back over the past year, I am reminded of how God has worked in this ministry. What is awesome to me is the fact that every time VCC encountered an attack, there is a group who I call my “Spiritual Fighters” (military term) who would prepare for combat and intercede for this ministry. They would sacrifice themselves for the movement of the Kingdom and endure all kinds of bruises, scars, and even amputation to advance the work of VCC. I am so grateful to God for them and I constantly petition God to give them the desires of their heart and pour blessings on them they will not have room enough to receive. It’s amazing this Sunday VCC will have served the community for 2 years… time has gone by so fast but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! When God gives me something I take it very seriously… VCC is my life and I will always be passionate about this church. Have I made some mistakes in ministry? I surely have but I am always reminded of John Maxwell’s book, “Failing Forward”. You have to have the courage to get out of the boat and believe you can walk on water with God. We are preparing to enter into a realm of ministry that has never been seen or never been done. I don’t know where to start so I will just jump in and go from there. On Sunday, VCC experienced a move of God like never before... our praise and worship was so awesome! The Tribe of Levi and Total Experience ministered in a manner that took us to another level. We worshiped the whole service in song, for an hour and half we allowed our praise and worship to flow to God. For the first time, I noticed people truly worshipping God in a way like never before. I was so full of His presence that tears rolled down my face in awe of the anointing that was falling upon VCC. This is what we are called to do in the Word, give him “total praise and worship”. We are embarking on a new level at VCC, our ministries have answered the call to serve and surrendered themselves to God's anointing.I have so much going on in my life but it’s all good. My Dad had surgery on last week and he is doing alright. He is 84 years old and deacon at his church. He loves the Lord and his church; my father is someone I truly admire. He has had the same ritual ever since I can remember... every night he listens to someone preaching as he showers and before he goes to bed. He will be in his bathroom with the Word blasting! He says that he wants to hear the Word before he goes to bed. This has always intrigued me because this is a part of his daily regiment. Listening to God’s word everyday... now that’s power!

Kneeling In Order To Stand,
Pastor Ron

Child-Like Faith

My daughter Alexandria (9 years old) is the epitome of Jesus’ teaching of faith. Ever since I can remember she has possessed a divine gift of prayer and faith. I am always amazed how she comforts me with her words of encouragement and empowerment. During my seasons of testing, she calls and says “Dad, I am calling to check on you and see if you are alright”. Her words touch my heart in a way that bring tears to my eyes. She always asks about the church, ministries and my preaching or teaching. When I share with her where God is leading me, she always tells me that she will pray and ask God for His favor. I told her about the possibility of the church moving and she said that she would pray and fast. Immediately I asked her what did she know about fasting? She explained to me what it means to fast in a child-like manner, “to give up something you like” and pray. I was so amazed with her response but then again I should not have been because she has an unconditional faith in God. I have truly learned from this child who believes that God can do anything and everything. Whenever I need a word from the Lord, he uses this little girl to bring peace, joy and comfort to my soul. I truly feel that God speaks to me through Alexandria when I feel discouraged, disheartened or dismayed. Through her, He lets me know that everything is working according to His purpose and this is why I love Him and Alexandria!

We’re Moving!

VCC is preparing to move our Sunday worship service starting August 30th. I must convey that I am excited about achieving another milestone in our journey. We currently worship in a high school auditorium that seats 760 but we will be moving to a church facility that will give us a more up and close, personal atmosphere. I watched many of the leaders when we toured the church and I could sense the anxiety of having less space than we are accustomed to. Often times we take for granted the comforts we have and don’t realize how blessed we truly are. Sometimes we need to take a step down to take two steps up… this is difficult for many but in ministry there will be times God will take you places that will require you to humble yourself. God is stretching our leaders by helping them understand the call of ministry. He is equipping them to become more Kingdom‑minded rather than program‑minded. Some leaders will follow the call while others will struggle with the vision and mission of the ministry. God is calling the leaders to come together on one accord and when this happens He will take them to places never imagined or thought of according to His promise!

Kneeling In Order To Stand,

Pastor Ron

God’s Favor

Yesterday was an awesome day in worship, the Praise and Worship was so anointed as the team gave themselves to God. As always, the dance ministry activated and enhanced the worship experience. I was feeling the spirit of God upon me during my sermon as I surrendered myself to Him. My microphone setting was great and I didn’t have to strain (thanks sound team). Then our band was pumping today (even though Bros.. Todd and Alberto were absent)! We have some great people that are behind the scenes that make our worship experience so powerful and to them I am truly grateful. I announced that we will be moving to our new location starting August 30th. God has opened a door for us and we are excited as we prepare for our new location. I shared with the people how God is preparing VCC for a “radical” change in our ministry. We will be breaking obstacles, barriers and roadblocks to reach the masses in Stafford. People are seeking a ministry that does more than just talk but will meet people where they are in life and empower them with the Word of God.
