A New Season

It is spring time and I cannot wait until the flowers begin to bloom, the smell of fresh cut grass and the radiance of the sun.  How often do we take things for granted, we are changing from one season into another season. I am glad to know that whatever season I am in it prepares me for the blessings of God.  Paul stated that he knew how to be with or without, that is good news for someone who maybe in a season where you don’t know what is going on with your life. Whatever state you are in remember God has your back. Matter of fact you can begin to praise Him in advance for what He is going to do in your life right know. There is about to be a major shift in your life and you must be prepared to received the blessings of the Lord.

What An Amazing Year!

I am so grateful for 2012 and everything God has done in my life!  Through my ups and downs His faithfulness put me in a place of favor within every aspect of my life.  Words cannot describe the feeling that I have because of His love for me.  I am so blessed beyond all measure, when I think how all this came together and how God orchestrated my steps, my spirit worships and adores Him.  I'd like to personally give my love to my wife, Lisa, who is my greatest supporter, friend, wife, co-laborer and critic.  Her unconditional love has propelled me to search deep within my heart and come forward in the things of God.  She has the greatest passion for ministry and doing the will of God; her sacrifices have made the difference in our ministry and marriage.  Each day I praise my God for her and always ask the Lord to make me a better man, husband, father and Pastor!  Love you Lady Lisa.

Then words cannot fathom the appreciation I have for the greatest men and women God has sent to partner with us to empower, encourage and equip for the Kingdom of God.  A Pastor often prays for leaders that would be profound, powerful, committed and supportive... God has granted the desires of my heart!  I watch you as you work together in harmony and on one accord; the propensity of your labor for the Kingdom has risen above the standard of just "doing" church.  You leaders are the epitome of what it means to lead people; you are not about titles or positions, you are about advancing the Kingdom of God, you are about bringing healing and deliverance to the people of God, you are about reaching the lost and making an impact in the community.  I would not trade YOU for anything in this world!

Last but certainly not least, to our members of VCC.  You have the greatest anointing and favor over your life.  I have observed you grow so much in life, conquer the setbacks, overcome the obstacles, and defeat the giants in your life.  You have allowed Lisa and me to pour into your life and spirit, to pray for you and your family, to anoint and cover you with the blood of Jesus.  We are truly humbled that you are a part of our ministry, as well as our lives.  We promise no matter how much our church grows, you will always be a part of us and you will always be needed to help VCC get to the place that God has called all of us to go.  As we enter into 2013, get ready for the power of God to be released in your life -- changes will occur, finances will change for the better, promotions will come, health issues or concerns will diminish, marriages will get stronger and your children will walk in favor!

We are excited about VCC and the testimonies that will be coming forward in 2013!  As always, we will continue to pray and fast for you because eyes have not seen, ears have not heard nor has it entered into the heart of man the good things God has prepared for you in 2013.  It will be the year of the “Breaker Anointing”!

Celebration Time

We are preparing for our 5th Year Anniversary Gala and I must convey that it seems like just yesterday VCC began our journey to empower and encourage people from all walks of life. I am so grateful to God for everything he has bestow upon me and VCC. We have endured the storms of ministry because of his grace and mercy, God has blessed us above human comprehension or reasoning. Our church has entered into another realm of his glory with our worship, we have allowed the holy spirit to operate in our ministries, mission and members. My leadership teams has stepped up and are truly impeccable leaders, they have vision, integrity and commitment. They will not allow the stigma of tradition to hinder them to the place that God is leading our church. They have surrounded me with their unconditional love, support and resources to ensure I am able to stay before God. I am blessed upon measure to have such an awesome team of leaders, they are anointed, highly favored and powerful. Together we have made covenant with each other and to God that we will stay the course no matter what we face. I look forward to our celebration.

Rain Makers

Each time I attend the Pastors' and Leadership Conference hosted by Bishop T.D. Jakes my ministry and church propels to another level. The conference transforms my leaders to the authentic call of not just a title but committing themselves to serve unconditionally. The intensity of this call stretches each one in various ways - it calls every leader to strive for excellence. God gives the Pastor the vision but the leadership is responsible for executing the vision. That is why it’s crucial for leaders to understand the vision, mission, and heart of the Pastor. Building a quality leadership team is vital to our ministry. It is so much more than filling a vacant position! I share with our leaders that their call is a great sacrifice because it's a mandate from God. I pray each day for our leaders because I know they will need to be equipped and empowered to face obstacles, criticism and attacks. The key to success in being a great leader calls for a life of prayer, fasting and devotion. Without these vital fundamentals it will be difficult for any leader to serve. Roll the Stone Away

Blessings to you and I pray everyone is doing well. I’ll share with you how excited I am for the people of God. It is so amazing that whatever we face our God is so awesome. I want to encourage you today by sharing with you how much God will bring you peace to your situation, circumstance or problems. The word teaches us to cast our cares upon Him because he careth for you, in other words whatever you are experiencing in life, God cares about it. While friends, family, co-workers, etc say they care but don’t show it, this will never happen with God. Not only will he show you, he will show up and show out (can I get a witness?)

I am so excited about Resurrection Sunday, we are planning, praying and proclaiming the Holy Spirit will move at VCC like never before. We are petitioning God to send the harvest so we may bring love, hope and peace to the lost. We decree and declare that because Jesus has risen, we have a mandate to celebrate our Savior resurrection. Knowing that God strategically plan the death, burial and resurrection of His Son Jesus, lets me know that what I have gone through cannot even fathom how much God loves me. Even though I cannot comprehend what God is doing with me, I realized it is part of the plan for my life.

So in closing, don’t forget to thank Him for we know all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. God has a purpose for your life and when you don’t understand, keep praising and worshipping Him. You may fall but you will rise again.

Not Bitter But Better

It has been sometime since I have communicated to our readers, but let me assure you that I plan on getting better in sharing what God is doing in my life. Between my ministry, family and work they have me running 24/7, however, I count it all joy when I think about what the Lord is doing through me. I am so focus with VCC that I do not allow negativity around me instead I am surrounded with positive, constructive and productive people.

My new leadership is the epitome of what it means to be a leader, their commitment to our vision surpasses anything I ever seen. They just do not only talk it, they demonstrate the vision, mission and values of our church. They have designed a church model which is so awesome. The new members of our ministry love the model. They are life changers with a call to equip, empower and edify. I watch them connect, cultivate and care for people that are hurting, hopeless and homeless. I love them for they are truly real and great leaders.

We have incorporated new ministries, and one that I am very excited about is our dance ministry, Worshippers In Motion, they are absolutely anointed and powerful. Their style of ministry is so unique; they reach beyond the heart into the souls of the people. This ministry will be the catalyst for VCC, as we prepare to minister through the arts. We are preparing for a worship arts workshop with various ministries, this is going to be exciting.

In the past, one could say that VCC had such a fabricated, fake and false worship experience through various leaders who were non-effective because of whatever reason. But now we encounter such powerful worship through leaders who are authentic and do not have agendas. Our teachers have such an anointing and they bring the Word in every aspect of their gift. God finally released me to allow our leaders to take the reins and allow them to be used to help me lift this ministry to the next level. I often wonder why God would not release me in the past and allow certain people access to this authority, now I know exactly His plan for VCC. We are very humbled by everything God has done for VCC, even to the point exposing people that attempted to destroy our church.

The enemy has tried to deter, destruct and even destroy our ministry. It's not a secret about how I had to face oppositions because of fabrication, deception and deceit. I take the stones that people throw and use them for the vision that God has shown me for my life and ministry. I call this my Joseph experience. It's great when God will take your setback for a setup.

Praise the Lord one and all. First and foremost I’d like to thank my Pastor Ron D. Willis for all he has instilled in me spiritually and personally, for his wisdom and knowledge.
