Kingdom Authority

God has placed some awesome people in my ministry. I will share that if you are going to do significant things for God, you will have to cut ties with things, places and people. Bishop Jakes once said “sometimes you will need to change your circle of people”. This is a very profound and true statement. It’s not meant to demean anyone but there are times when people can only help you within the parameters of their ability. Success is not measured within a materialistic view, you can have all the degrees, money and fame but those "things" cannot buy you peace, happiness and joy.

The word of God teaches us to “seek the Kingdom of God first and His righteousness and everything will be added unto you”. This is a promise from God that when you put Him first in everything you do, he will add to you. This is a powerful guarantee to walk into your destiny and purpose. When is the last time you used your Kingdom Authority? I mean really walked into your situation, circumstance or issue and called the enemy out. Until you begin to understand the precepts of God and execute your authority over your life, you will always be where you are in life.

Once again, I challenge you to get up from where you are in life because you have so much to do and little time to do it. But remember you can do “all things in Christ” who will strengthen you. Claim your victory over your sickness, finances, family, job, etc. and begin to see the power of God work in your life!

The Best in Me

The other day I was in the Christian bookstore browsing around and discovered Pastor Marvin Sapp’s new CD. With great anticipation I immediately broke open the cover and inserted the CD and begin listening to each song, normally it takes 2-3 times before a song really grabs my attention. But when I came to track 9 and began to listen to the words of Pastor Sapp, an emotion came over me like never before. I began to replay in my mind how many times I have made wrong decisions in life. How people have criticized, passed judgment, condemned and even attacked other people. How people will try to build themselves by tearing others down, how they have spread vicious rumors to bring hurt, harm and damage to the emotions of others. I know there are times when we feel like failures, feel like giving up, throwing in the towel, getting out of the race, just plain quitting, but that’s when you need to repeat the words of Pastor Sapp:

"He saw the best in me, when everyone else around me, only saw the worst in me. He’s mine, and I’m His, it doesn’t matter what I did, He only sees me for who I am"

When I discover that no matter what I’ve done in my life, God sees something in me. God sees something in you that no one has yet to see, the best of you has not come out of you and God wants you to know he is ready to bring you out of the chains, shackles, and the restraints that are keeping you in bondage. The enemy doesn’t want us to share our stories because this is when you gain your breakthrough, your deliverance, being set free by the power of Jesus Christ. Realize we are more than conquerors, realize that we are not defeated but victorious, and claim your victory in Jesus name. Let the best come out of you and begin to walk in your destiny, and watch God move in your life like never before. God sees the best in us and he is calling us to come forward to bring glory to his name! I challenge you to make that move, you’ll be glad you did!

A Change Of Attitude

I pray my blogs have been a blessing to many of the readers who have written to me about various topics. These topics are not mine but the spirit of God through me, writing has never been my forte , but through God I have learned to share what is on my heart that it may become a blessing to someone. Today God spoke to me in a way like never before. We are currently studying how to reach your full potential in God. This series is a very powerful and challenges teaching because I discovered that many people live the so-called “settle-life”. In other words they feel they have reached a plateau, feel this is all God has for them, and they begin to settle in everything . They settle with their finances, relationships, friendships, etc., and never discover the potential God has created in them for His purpose.

On yesterday, I talked with a good friend of mine who has been going through his season. I asked him this question, “please tell me what I did to you for you to treat me like you have? I have always been there for you and never one in my life treated you the way you have treated me, why?” I told him, “I am true to what I am and that’s according to the Word of God”. He replied, “It’s not you, I am just going through and I know it’s wrong.” I could hear the remble in his voice and the cry of hurt. I told him, “Man, I will always be there for you because we are friends and no matter what happens we cannot shut those who God has placed in our life, for they are in our life for a reason.”

My brothers and sisters, please hear me. God knows what He is doing and He provides what we need. We often shout out what He has placed in our life; we ignore, mistreat and even shutout the people who He sends to love on us during our seasons. If this is you, I pray you will allow those people that have been reaching out to you to restore the genuine love they have for you. Trust me when I tell you the enemy wants us to be shackled. This is his job and he is good at it, but the Psalmist says, “We are fearfully and wonderfully made”

Just Do It

If you’re like me, all this snow is becoming quite annoying to say the least. We have experienced masses of snow accumulations, which have made it difficult to maneuver through our daily routines. Many of you are unable to get out of your homes due to the hazardous road conditions, some of you, like me, experienced loss of power and frigid temperatures. Whatever you have encountered, it was something we never thought would occur at this time in our life. The word of God is very clear… there is a time for everything under heaven. From this perspective, I can comprehend this was our time for a massive snowstorm and while this storm caused discomfort, distress, and even irritation, we must continue to press forward.

During the storm, I reflected on many things but what intrigued me the most was the fact that life will sometimes be like this snowstorm we are enduring. The weatherman warned to constantly shovel as much as possible due to the snow accumulations. As much as I tried to keep up with the shoveling, it seemed to overtake me and I began to face an obstacle that I could not handle. Eventually, I surrendered and walked away because it was more than I could handle. Only to return the next day and discover there was “no way” I would be able to dig myself out of this. But God specializes in this area of our lives when we encounter so much accumulations (family, health, relationships, financial, etc.) that we conclude we will never be able to dig ourselves out. He will send us what we need to get out of circumstance or obstacles.

When I finally made up my mind, I realized the only way I was going to get out of all this snow was to begin digging my way through. This is when I discovered the power of God. You see, I was looking for help to get me out of all of this snow accumulation, but God had a better plan… he was showing me that when I trust Him and rely on His provisions, he will make a way out of no way. What seemed to be a barrier God made it my breakthrough! For you that have read this today, this is my word to you, “you can dig yourself out of anything with God.”

Make That Move

Happy New Year! Allow me to apologize for not getting my blog out on time. This year I am making the commitment to do better. Well, I don’t know how you feel but I am living a life of true blessings and favor. I am preparing myself for the release of God’s unlimited blessings upon VCC, my family, friends and me! This year I plan on giving more to the Kingdom of God, listening for His voice about blessing others and submerging myself deeply into the Word of God. I had the awesome experience while visiting my daughter (Alexandria) in California. She invited me to visit her church and all I could say was “thank you Lord”. Pastor Carl (Bishop select) truly allowed the anointing to flow in service. After worship, I had the chance to speak with him about ministry and how you have to move forward regardless of who is not wanting to go. I returned home with a zeal for ministry and Kingdom work. For you that are reading this message, I want you to know God is ready to use you for His Glory. Don’t worry about what issues, problems or situations you are experiencing, I’m here to tell you that God wants to use Y-O-U! This year make the commitment to God and watch how He will use you for the Kingdom. You have a purpose and destiny, a place with your name and anointing approved by Heaven. Tell the devil he is defeated and you are walking in the blessings of an awesome God, command your release from the attacks and defeats of the enemy. Last year you gave in but in the year of 2010, you will be the head and not the tail, you will be the lender and not the borrower, you’re blessed in the city, you’re blessed in the field, you are BLESSED! This is the year of promotion! Get ready for your next level in God. I claim it in the Name of Jesus!
